And they say “well, good job Hasbro. The only people interested in this WILL be little girls.” There seems to be a lot of reactions like this, or people just plain upset or (for some reason beyond me) feeling slighted by this whole thing. Can I just one more time point out: YOU’RE NOT THE TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC!!!
Look, I love MLP:FIM. It’s a stellar cartoon and exceptionally well animated and written. But it’s not ours. It can be enjoyed by anyone, but at the end of the day, it belongs to the kids. This is their party, let them have it.
It may not end up bring my cup of tea, but I’m going to give it a chance. I owe the folks who made it that much, considering. And if I don’t like it, I’ll say “oh well,” move on, anticipate season 4, and hope the kids really enjoyed it.
