I’ve been sitting on this one for a little while now, but now that AIAC’s on hiatus, I felt it was OK to post it. Or at least this variation of it.

This is what I’ve been working on to be the cover image for the first “Alone in a Crowd” book collection, titled “She Followed Me Home.” The picture is exactly as I would use, aside from a lack of shading, but the AIAC logo is just a sort of placeholder for now, to make the image look nice. Otherwise there’s a big empty space up there where the title should be.

This picture means a lot to me. It’s a bit of nostalgia for when comic first began, and shows how far it came. I had so much fun working on this one.

Production on book one has ceased for now, going along with the current hiatus. But even if AIAC doesn’t come back for a LONG time, I’d still like to get the book done at some point, for those interested. Future books would be easier to produce, since the files for each comic at a certain point are MUCH more conducive to print.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! You know what that means, right? Welcome to the “9th Annual Sarah Zero Valentine’s Day Sex Drive!” Without further ado….BADDA-BOOM!

So what’s the deal you may be wondering? Well, every Valentine’s Day, Stef over at Sarah Zero gets as many webcomic creators together as he can and has them draw pin-ups of their characters in the buff. Then, everyone links to each other’s work and sends their readers around to see all the skin as well as perhaps discover new comics they weren’t aware of. It’s all about viewing nudity is a positive, fun light, not dirty or wrong in some way. You may remember AIAC contributed to VDSD last year, when Jimmy Misanthrope and I teamed up to give you this little gem (also 18+, NSFW).

Hey Steff, how did all this come about anyway?

“Way back in 2005, I came up with a crazy idea to draw a topless Sarah Zero pic and post it as a vote incentive on Valentine’s Day. It was very well received, and so the following year, a few webcomic friends got involved, and things snowballed from there. A few years later, sadly, I lost the passion for expanding the VDSD and ended up going solo until 2011, when I totally forgot to create a pic until the night before! After spitting out a sloppy, horrible excuse for pinup art, I stated that I was going to let the VDSD die. Mere hours after this announcement, a SZ superfan reignited my passion by singlehandedly recruiting some truly stellar talent for 2012. His help inspired me to resurrect the VDSD and return it to its former glory. 2012 was the most successful VDSD ever.With a renewed confidence, the VDSD is poised to become even bigger. And with your help, 2013 promises to obliterate last year’s awesomeness.”- Stef

I’m kinda curious to see if their will be anyone who’s unhappy I threw Sara into this. On the other side of the fence, I’m sure there are people who are cheering over the fact I did. Perverts Sara will have some words for you.
